Kalisa Jones

I have a new niece! Kalisa Jones arrived last Wednesday, November 12th at 3:58 pm. She was 6 lbs 11 oz and 19.5 in long, and so cute. Wednesday night they realized she was having some trouble breathing, she is good now, but had to be on oxygen for a few days. They are still in the hospital until Saturday finishing out the 10 days of antibiotics. Here are a few pictures:
This one doesn't show her face, but show's how tiny she is (that's her IV in her arm that they leave in to give her the antibiotics).

We are all totally in love with her and can't wait until she comes home!

2. To not gain too much weight while I'm pregnant and be able to take it off quickly (and a healthy baby of course).

I have a great husband!

I came home from work today at noon for Colby to go to school and thought I would be good and take the trash out of my car. Well, as I was throwing it away (in the outside trash can), my keys went in too. I was still in my work clothes (and wouldn't have dug in the trash can anyway), so my wonderful husband came outside and dug them out for me! It was too funny not to take pictures. Poor guy!



And here they are...all covered in oil! I disinfected them really good (or well, I never know when to use either).

Our Third Anniversary

Today, Colby and I have been married for three years! Wow, how time flies. I'm not a real cheesy, romantic person, but I do have to say that I love him even more now than I did the day we got married and I love being married to him. I've felt really blessed lately and being married to him for time and all eternity is one of the things that I'm blessed with in my life. Here's a few pictures of our wedding day.

We went to Memphis this weekend for a little day anniversary trip. We went to the temple, out to lunch, and went shopping (mainly for baby stuff even though we didn't buy any). I didn't take any pictures, but we had a great time (although we were really tired by the end).

We've had a great three years (well, the first six months were a little trying), but it's just gotten better. And I'm excited to see what life holds for us, especially with this special little one on the way. Our lives will never be the same (but in a good way)!

And we're having a baby!

Good news from the Slade's! We're pregnant (well, I am). I'm about 3 months (13 weeks) and due April 15th! My boss told me I couldn't go into labor early because I would still have taxes to do. Here's the ultrasounds. I'll just post the last one at almost 13 weeks.

The top one you can see the spine and ribs, and the bottom one you can see the head on the right and the legs on the left. I know, its hard to tell. Its much easier seeing it on the screen than in pictures. It's also amazing to see it moving around.

I've felt pretty good. I'm still running and working out (though not quite as much). It's much harder to run, but I still get in about 3 miles, 3 times a week. I didn't get sick much, but now the headaches are coming on pretty much every evening. Hopefully that doesn't last too long.

We're very excited and maybe now I'll have something to post!

LOOK WHAT I DID!

I became inspired and decided to change up my blog...and maybe I'll start posting. I'm still thinking I will make it private, so if you want to read it, send me your email to ckslade@hotmail.com within the next few weeks and I'll add you as a reader. Not that you'll want to because my life isn't too exciting, but maybe you'll find it interesting!

And update on us - not much! Colby's in school and I'm working. He'll hopefully graduate in December of 2009, so after that, who know's where we'll be. Colby's main job is working at the mini-storage (where we live too). We're still enjoying that, and figure we can handle it until he graduates. I think that's it for now! If I get bored, I might add some recent pictures of us.

I honestly never thought I'd create a blog, but I decided I better hurry up and do it. I'm not planning on posting anything until something fun happens in my life, and I'm going to make it private. So, if you stumble across this and want to read it at some point, let me know and I'll add you!
